Deacon Steve Greco shared that the inspiration for The Adore Movement stems from St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta and her calling that Jesus "thirsts for souls." Following the massive success of the movie Jesus Thirsts: The Miracle of the Eucharist, many Catholic were left asking, "What do I do now?"
The answer is to encounter Him. Going to daily Mass leads us to desire more of Jesus, which naturally draws us into Eucharistic Adoration. Deacon Steve emphasized that Adoration transform lives, leading individuals to become true missionary disciples on fire for Jesus Christ.Jason Jaynes, CEO of eCatholic, explained how his team is using its technical talents to remove barriers to prayer through the new Adoration Finder tool. Designed to be incredibly simple on any device, the tool uses your location to instantly hone in on nearby parishes and Adoration chapels. Users can even filter their search for specific devotions like Perpetual Adoration or First Friday hours.
Because eCatholic serves roughly 40% of Catholic parishes in the United States, the map uses highly accurate data constantly updated by the parishes themselves. Jason emphasized that any parish—even those not using eCatholic—can easily submit their information to be added to the map.
During the webinar, Marian Father Chris Alar provided a profound theological perspective, describing the Eucharist as our spiritual lifeline and "radiation therapy." He explained that receiving Communion uniquely unites us with the entire Trinity and offers us a spiritual "heart transplant," as Christ wishes to replace our stony hearts with His own.
Ultimately, he urged parishes to start small when establishing Adoration hours without getting discouraged, reminding viewers that the Eucharist literally fulfills Christ's promise to remain with us until the end of time.
The movement's website offers a growing library of resources to help you do just that, including educational videos, testimonials, and free downloadable parish resources like printable postcards and posters.
