Cultivating new identities for vibrant communitiesWhen the Diocese of Pittsburgh announced a plan to consolidate 157 parishes into 57 new groupings, diocesan leaders were determined to provide these newly-formed communities with a positive start. They understood that to move forward successfully, each new community needed a way to establish a fresh, unified identity from the very beginning.
The goal was to provide a technical roadmap that would turn a season of change into an opportunity for renewal. The diocese needed to equip these new clusters with intuitive tools that reduced the "heavy lift" of a merger, allowing them to focus on the pastoral work of building a unified community. They wanted to ensure that from day one, every new parish cluster had a digital home that felt welcoming, professional, and ready for mission.
