Each year, eCatholic selects a handful of exceptional websites that truly embody the intersection of beauty and function to name as the “best catholic websites of the year.” But these winners are more than just digital accolades; they represent a commitment to the New Evangelization.
As we reviewed the landscape for the Best Websites of 2025, we found that the most successful sites shared a common priority: putting the visitor at the forefront of the design process. Asking questions like, “What information will visitors be looking for?” and “Can they find it once they get to our website?” are the places to begin, and these organizations answered them well.
Whether through clear call-to-action buttons that answer immediate questions or streamlined layouts that make finding information effortless, these websites prove that true digital hospitality begins with ease of use. They prove that a church’s digital presence can be just as welcoming as its physical front doors. Let’s explore the winners who are setting the standard for mission-driven design this year.

What we love: Custom icons for the quick links add a unique, tailored touch that shows off the Cathedral's personality and design intentionality.
When you land on the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit’s homepage, you are immediately transported to their sanctuary through beautiful video imagery living "above the fold." This visual introduction uncovers the cathedral's beauty, helping new visitors recognize the physical site before they ever set foot inside. Beyond aesthetics, the site excels in engagement by offering buttons for the most common visitor inquiries, ensuring users can quickly find exactly what they need. We also appreciate the strategic use of secondary navigation; the quick links feature custom icons that feel personal and direct. It is a perfect blend of welcoming imagery and practical, user-focused design.

Sacred Heart High School’s website immediately grabs your attention with bold, bright colors and a strong use of links right in the feature region. This vibrant design allows the school’s personality to shine through, supported by great images of student life and athletics that convey the energy of the campus. Functionality matches the form here as well, making it incredibly easy for any visitor—whether a prospective parent or a former student—to connect via distinct "admissions," "news," and "alumni" buttons.

A diocese exists to serve its specific location, and the Diocese of Helena captures this perfectly with beautiful imagery that reflects the local landscape. The site utilizes a clean and simple layout that intentionally directs visitors toward the right information without overwhelming them. We particularly love the custom sections styled to share about the diocese and its history at a glance, as well as a dedicated section to learn about Bishop Vetter. Even the navigation and footer deserve a shout-out; they house many links that expertly pack a wealth of information into a nice, easy-to-browse package. It is a masterclass in organizing complex diocesan details into a user-friendly structure.

Holy Rosary Catholic Church demonstrates that you don’t need a custom build to have a high-impact presence. The site delights the eyes with a large buttons section that spreads from edge to edge, directing visitors to answers for their most common questions. The Headline Section is used excellently to style announcements, drawing attention to news without creating distractions. We also noticed the smart addition of an “Advent and Christmas” tab in the navigation during December—a great seasonal touch for visitors unfamiliar with the parish schedule. With a great image in the feature region and overall strong navigation, this site proves that clarity and simplicity are the keys to a welcoming digital front door.
